Steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches in Japan- Ohama Beach, the Surf Lodge White Beach Hotel Kisami (formerly just White Beach Hotel) is a small boutique hotel in Shimoda on the Izu Peninsula. With white sand, clear water, and gorgeous wild nature all around, our hotel is an almost untouched retreat. We provide our guests with a unique blend of relaxation and adventure, making it the perfect vacation destination for families, couples, and solo travelers alike.​

Meals are for staying guests only, family-style. The menu changes (salads, lemongrass chicken and pork, BBQ). Pizza is the one thing we always do. Breakfast is a simple eggs and toast or a homemade yogurt and fruit option. The old public restaurant is closed.

​The Izu Peninsula is a UNESCO Global Geopark. Waterfalls, sea caves, Omuroyama, and a lot more within a drive (we recommend renting a car to explore).
